'How We First Met' Crazy Little Thing Called Love
February 6, 2003

From a night at the opera to a weekend checking out rooms for rent, singletons looking for love have found their mates when they least expected it. Each night, "How We First Met" host Jill Bourque gets the scoop on how romance blooms in the Bay Area with her Barbara Walters-style interviews conducted on stage from one preselected local couple and another pair picked from the audience during intermission. For the third year in a row, twosomes take to the love seat to tell their stories while improv players act out scenes from the real-life roads to coupledom. Well versed in spontaneity, the group of actors offer top-notch theatrics to complement the true stories of how two became one. Grab your honey, indulge in the bowl of Hershey's Kisses in the lobby and get ready to hear how Cupid has been one busy fella. -- Anna Mantzaris, special to SF Gate
